LIFT 2010

The wait is finally over! Nine years after our last full city-wide festival, LIFT returns with an exhilarating programme, setting London up as the stage for performances sure to surprise, challenge and entertain.

Taking place in some of the capital’s most prestigious theatres as well as on the city streets over three weeks from June 23, LIFT 2010 also places theatre in the online world as we embrace the possibilities of new technologies for both artists and audiences. These are exciting times for art, London and technology, and LIFT will be uniting all three with a programme that draws upon artists from all over the world and all across the artistic spectrum, reflecting the ever-changing nature of theatre and the city.

Our risk-taking attitude and support for the best international theatre has made LIFT one of the most important contemporary performance events, but we would be nothing without the passion and participation of our audience, and this year offers more opportunities than ever to interact and get involved.
